Correction: The location of the sportsbook inside the Par-A-Dice facility was incorrect in previous versions of the story.
Sportsbook giant FanDuel is betting on central Illinois.
FanDuel launched an app for its online betting service in partnership with Boyd Gaming’s Par-A-Dice Casino in August.
An in-person sportsbook is located at the Par-A-Dice facility, outside the casino gaming area and adjacent to the Tin Lizard Bar and Grill. FanDuel has three betting windows on site at Par-A-Dice.
In addition, there are six self-service IGT PlaySports betting kiosks and 14 odds/promos screens in the area.
FanDuel CEO Matt King is unsure if betting will be offered on Peoria’s local professional teams, like the Peoria Rivermen and Peoria Chiefs, or Bradley University men’s basketball games, although he said it is quite possible.
They’ll determine that in the future. But in the present, the myriad bets available on FanDuel are good to go.
“It’s a groundbreaking venture in Illinois for us,” King said. “We’re expected to have a huge online experience, too. Online is a big story. We launched our online app (in August).”
Illinois is the sixth state in the U.S. where FanDuel Sportsbook online and mobile platform is available.
Among the menu of wagers offered are professional football, basketball, baseball, golf, MMA, soccer and tennis.
The app is compatible with iOS and Android phones. It boasts the following perks:
• Any customer that doesn’t win their first bet is refunded their wager, up to $500. Plus, if you refer a friend, you’ll both get $50 more.
